Technologies

The continuous development of technological refinements is the decisive factor for the product and system safety of radio remote controls. It often makes the difference when it comes to stability under the most adverse conditions.

As a manufacturer of radio remote controls for industry, NBB Controls + Components GmbH is one of the leading innovators in the sector. For us, innovations go hand in hand with tried and tested products and a wealth of experience. This enables us to always offer reliable system solutions.

You can find all control elements in our online shop.

SMP / SMJ technology enables the operator to replace a defective joystick directly on site. These technologies minimise the downtime of the radio remote control. No special protective measures against contamination need to be taken when replacing the joystick or pushbutton, as the transmitter housing is not opened during the process. Thanks to the user-friendly integration, no staff training or special tools are required for replacement. The joysticks can be found in our Nano and HyPro series. The pushbuttons are installed in our PocketEvo series.

All enclosures are designed in-house at NBB. When designing our products, our long-standing employees endeavour to ensure that our enclosures meet the most extreme external requirements. In doing so, we emphasise robustness, durability and ergonomics in order to do justice to the highly stressful influences.

We are also happy to design customised enclosures to match your corporate design.
We can offer custom colour and design combinations in the following areas:

  • Insert signs: Here we offer you the option of choosing different colours and integrating your logos and symbols.
  • Housing: In order to better integrate our products into your company design, we can offer you different housing colours on request.
  • Embossing of the housing: NBB offers you the option of embossing your logo on the housing of various products (PocketEVO, Nano-media and Nano-magna).

The “Listen before talk – frequency search” has three different modes:

LBT mode 0

When switching on, the system transmits on the last channel used; when switching frequencies, it jumps to the next channel and transmits there.

LBT mode 1

When switching on / frequency switching, the transmitter checks whether the next channel is free. If the channel is occupied, the system continues until a free channel is reached.

LBT mode 2

When switching on / frequency switching, the entire frequency band is scanned. The transmitter jumps to the centre of the range with the most free channels.

1 transmitter -> X receivers

  • Operate several machines simultaneously with one radio remote control
  • Feedback is excluded

X transmitter -> X receiver

  • Several transmitters can each control several receivers
  • A receiver can only be controlled by one transmitter
  • One transmitter can control several receivers simultaneously
  • Feedback excluded

X transmitter -> 1 receiver

  • Multiple operators on one receiver
  • Only one transmitter is actively connected
  • Log-In / Log-Out System

Master / Slave

  • Two radio systems communicating with each other
  • Master can take over & overwrite all commands of the slave in terms of priority

Making optimum use of power

The nickel metal hydride (NiMH) rechargeable batteries from NBB have a decisive advantage due to their high energy density:
As there is no known memory effect with NiMH technology, regular recharging is possible and deep discharge can therefore be avoided.

The NBB battery packs are charged at a high charging current using special NBB chargers. This fast charging is thermally controlled to optimise recharging and also to prevent overcharging.
